Account & Data Deletion
You may delete your CattleMate / VetAsistan account and associated data using any of the methods below. This page explains the processing time and which data is deleted vs. retained.
1. How to Delete Your Account
Method 1 β In-app (Recommended)
Immediate, permanent deletion.
- Open the CattleMate / VetAsistan app
- Go to the Settings tab from the bottom menu
- Scroll down β tap Delete Account
- Read and accept the 3-stage confirmation dialogs
- Enter the confirmation keyword (e.g.
DELETE) - Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately
Method 2 β Request via email
Processed within 30 days.
- Address: support@cattlemate.app
- Subject: Account Deletion Request
- Body: Include the email address registered to your account
- After verification, your account is manually deleted
2. Data-Only Deletion (Keep Your Account)
If you want to keep your account but delete specific data, you can:
- Animal records: Tap the trash icon on the animal detail screen
- Milk records: Milk History β swipe left on a record β Delete
- Vaccine records: Vaccine Schedule β select the record β Delete
- Feed inventory: Feed Management β select item β Delete
- Finance records: Finance screen β select transaction β Delete
- Bulk deletion requests: privacy@cattlemate.app
3. Data That Is Deleted
Account deletion permanently removes all of the following:
- User account (email, name, phone, password)
- Farm information (name, location, description)
- All animal records (ear tag, birth date, breed, reproductive history)
- Milk production records and monthly summaries
- Vaccine schedules and health records
- Feed stock and ration records
- Financial records (income / expense)
- AI ration suggestion history
- App preferences (language, units, notification settings)
- Device and session information
- Invited vet / farmer connections (the other party's own farm data is not affected)
4. Data That Is Retained (Legal Obligation)
Per Turkish Tax Procedure Law and international tax regulations, the following records are retained for 5 years:
- Subscription purchase records (Apple / Google invoice history)
- Tax / invoice records
- Legal complaint and dispute correspondence (if any)
This retained data is stored in a non-personally-identifiable format (excluding name and email) and used only for legal obligations.
5. Processing Time
- In-app (Method 1): Immediate β data is deleted at the moment of confirmation
- Email request (Method 2): Within 30 days of receiving the request
- Firebase automatic backups: May remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, then auto-deleted
6. If You Have an Active Subscription
Important: If you have an active Premium / Platinum subscription, cancel it before deleting your account:
- iOS: Settings β Apple ID β Subscriptions β CattleMate β Cancel
- Android: Play Store β Profile β Payments & subscriptions β CattleMate β Cancel
Subscriptions are not automatically cancelled when an account is deleted β otherwise, billing may continue until the end of the current period.
7. Special Note for Veterinarian Accounts
When an account in Veterinarian role is deleted:
- The veterinarian's own account information is deleted (email, profile)
- Access to all linked farms ends
- The farms' own data (created by the farmer) is not affected
- Records noted by the vet remain on the farm but appear as "Deleted Veterinarian"
